Valentine’s Day Preparations

I’m not sure what possessed me, but I started more than a week early on Valentine’s Day preparations this year. On Sunday, Yago decorated this mailbox for his Valentine’s Day card exchange at school (I only helped with the felt letters):

We also started with his Valentine’s Day cards.  I punched hearts into blank folding cards from Michael’s and he began to decorate the cards in phases.

Phase I: I punched out hearts because he didn’t have the strength to punch through the card stock cleanly (Sunday)
Phase II: Heart sticker inside the card so that the color shows through the cut-out on the front (Sunday)
Phase III: Heart and butterfly stamps on the front (Thursday)
Phase IV: Signing each card with his name (Thursday)

What’s left?  Continue to decorate with stickers and stamps.

On Sunday and Thursday, I made these candy cane hearts from The Idea Room

For Daryoosh’s class, I decided that the toddlers did not need as much sugar, so I didn’t fill their hearts and just made these.

What are some of your favorite sites for Valentine’s Day crafts?  Please comment below because I’ll need SOMETHING to do at the 11th hour before Monday’s party.  The procrastinator in me thanks you in advance!
